Course Aim
This programme is aimed at students and adults, who wish to start their own business, make a career change or enhance their prospects within their own workplace.
The course aims to encourage students to:
- Be aware of the feasibility of establishing their own business enterprise
- Develop the practical skills, knowledge and understanding needed to establish and operate a small business enterprise
- Develop the necessary confidence and motivation to set up a small business
- Understand the policies and procedures that will assist small businesses to optimise performance
- Be creative, imaginative and innovative in generating business ideals and in the solution of business problems
- Formulate a business plan

Course Content
The certificate of Business Enterprise is composed of four units.
- Developing a business idea
- Sourcing and planning business finance
- Investigating the market and customers
- Investigating the legal aspects of business
Assessment
Assessment is attached to each unit and will be judged at either Level 2 or Level 3 |
