One such company is 3M in Balloo Avenue, Bangor. 3M are committed to developing their employees and invited 'volunteers' to take part in a pilot training scheme in Introduction to Information Technology. SERC worked with 3M to deliver the training around various shift patterns to suit all involved. Upon completion of the training, the participants enjoyed it so much that they requested if they could progress to the next level. As a result they are now in the process of completing their ECDL training. The funding for the ECDL training was secured from North Down Local Strategy Partnership, through the Peace II Programme.
