Roger is very keen to invest in the personal development of his employees and understands the value of providing skills training. This is an on-going development programme and clearly Roger’s employees and his business are reaping the benefits.
However, when Roger set out a couple of years ago in search of a suitable training centre he realised that there was a distinct lack of relevant centres within N Ireland. Roger already had an association with the Technology and Innovation Centre at the Bangor campus through the Lecturer into Industry programme and so decided to approach them to determine if this type of training was available and could be delivered locally. The centre now provides a range of training courses to Advance including manufacturing 2D and 3D shapes, programming the tooling machines and design techniques.
Roger stated, “The Technology and Innovation Centre at Bangor provides an excellent training package to Advance employees. Their state-of-the-art facilities are of the highest standard and the lecturers are highly skilled and professional.”
