The company partner

This is a company (including not-for-profit organisation) but in some cases it can be a health or education organisation or Local Authority.

The knowledge-base partner

This is a higher education institution, college or research organisation (public or privately funded).

One or more KTP Associates

Recently qualified people at NVQ Level 4 or above in the appropriate subjects.   Each KTP Associate undertakes a strategic project that benefits the business of the company partner whilst they gain professional experience.   In carrying out their Projects, KTP Associates receive support from the company and knowledge base partners plus extensive professional and management training.

At the heart of each KT Partnership is a relationship between a company and academic staff in the South Eastern Regional College. College expertise is applied to a project that is central to the development of the Company Partner.

Each KT Partnership is managed by a team involving staff from the College along with the Company Partner and a recently qualified graduate recruited as the KTP associate. The aim of each KT Partnership is to: improve the competitiveness of the Company Partner and enhance the career prospects of the KTP Associate.
