SERC Students’ Union is a democratic body with the sole aim to work on behalf of and for the benefit of students. All students both full-time and part-time are members of the Students’ Union.
Being involved in Students’ Union is good fun and provides opportunities to make new friends and to develop useful skills. Training for SU Officers and Class Reps is provided by NUS / USI and there will be opportunities to attend regional meetings and events throughout the year.
Aims and objectives of the Sudents' Union
- To promote the general welfare of students
- To encourage and support student societies, sports and social events
- To support the education of its members
- To act as a channel of communication between students and the College
- To provide opportunity for the expression of student opinion within the Institute on all matters of interest to students
- To represent the interest of all students regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion or creed
