EU Fluorinated Gases (F Gases) Mandatory Training
The Brief
To help reduce the environmental pollution and thereby global warming whilst improving working practices including health and safety. The European Fluorinated Gases Regulation, requires that all personnel working with refrigeration, air conditioning or heat pump equipment (RAC) must have the new FGas certification by July 2011.
The Solution
To facilitate this industry training, SERC developed an innovative blended learning programme requiring only 2 days out of the workplace for experienced engineers via:
- Distance Learning
- Online support and learning material
- 1:1 tutorials
- Group tutorials
- Lecturers in college/company
- Practical Workshops
The Outcome
For the industry, the SERC FGas training has produced significant savings in the region of £273,500 and the downtime savings to the refrigeration industry which comes from participating in this course.
