BACKGROUND
The Ballynahinch campus has achieved special recognition for its standards of excellence in the training of woodmachining and in carpentry & joinery with trainees gaining top awards in Skillbuild competitions at regional, national and international level. It is located on Church Road, adjacent to a range of facilities including transport, leisure and library services.
In 2011 the existing building will be demolished and a new 795 m2 building will be erected.
FACILITIES/RESOURCES WITHIN THE CENTRE
The Ballynahinch campus has a number of industry-specific training areas in wood machining, carpentry & joinery, painting & decorating, plumbing and a realistic customer contact training centre, which are also used for business and adult education training programmes.
