Background

The Ballyboley Centre at 2 Manse Road Carrowdore was originally the local National School built in 1830.  It closed as a school in 1970 and was refurbished in 2000 and opened by The South Eastern Regional College as an out centre offering Computer courses as well as many craft courses.

Facilities/Resources within the Centre

The Centre is particularly suitable for those with limited mobility as the 2 main rooms are within 10 metres of the front door at ground level.  There is a bus stop outside as well as a large car park.

There is a friendly and relaxed atmosphere at Ballyboley with students from a wide age group – 18 to 84 and still learning!

Courses offered at the Ballyboley Campus

Courses are offered both day and evening and include Introduction to the PC, Clait, ECDL as well as Patchwork & Quilting, Card Making, Flower Arranging as well as some new ones such as Jewellery making.
