40% of road deaths are young drivers. Road crashes remain the leading cause of death for people aged between 15 and 24.
The Students’ Union of SERC, in conjunction with Eddie Irvine Sports, have organised an event that encourages students to slow down on the main roads and to ‘Save it for the Track’. In recent years there has been number of SERC students involved in such road deaths. We believe that such an event will benefit all students and as well as those within the community. The Students’ Union has also extended this invite to local schools and colleges.
