ACCOMMODATION

 

Halls of Residence

 

We will introduce you to the nearest University Halls of Residence which as a student of SERC you would be able to use. They are based in Belfast which is about 10 min from Lisburn, 25 min from Bangor & Newtownards and 35 min from Downpatrick. These halls divided into good quality apartments and have a shared kitchen or bathroom.

 

Facilities & Living Style:

 

  • Single study bedroom fully furnished and centrally heated
  • Self-catering or Catered
  • Internet Access
  • Cafeteria, bar, convenience store and launderette in the accommodation area
  • Live with other students. Good for socialising
  • Price: range from £80 - £120 per week depending on your choice. Minimum 6 months’ contract. Deposit required.

Private Rental

 

There are a variety of properties (apartments/houses) to rent in these areas and all are of a high standard due to government regulations.

 

  • Facilities and Living Style:
  • TV, cooking facilities and laundry facilities will normally be provided by the landlord
  • You will have to provide your own bed linen, cutlery, cups and bowls
  • Usually electricity, gas and food bills are not included in the rent
  • Price: From £50-70 per week or £200 - £300 per person per month (sharing), Whole house/apartment

 

SHAC Accommodation

 

SHAC is one of the largest Housing Associations in Northern Ireland with the majority of their housing stock designed for students and single people. You will share a flat with people of the same gender.
