FURTHER EDUCATION (FE)
Full-time Further Education courses are open to all.
If you are leaving school with GCSEs there are A'Level equivalent courses to equip you with the practical skills you are going to need in your choosen career.
If you haven't done as well in your GCSEs as you would have liked we have courses which will help you get back on track.
Equally if you are an adult wishing to take a change of direction then you my wish to take on a
full-time course or specifically an Access course which will help you get into University.

At SERC you get more than just a course! Your learning experience will also include:
Essential Skills in Literacy, Numeracy and IT - these are a must if you haven't achieved a GCSE
grade C in any one of them.
Employability Skills - teamwork, communication skills and managing work will be gained through work placements and projects.
Entrepreneurship Awareness and Skills - we want you to think about starting your own business. We'll provide you will all the help you need.
SERC EXTRA, a package of services including financial support, careers advise and learning support tailored just for you if you need any help along the way.
Opportunities to improve your social skills through society, club membership and the Students’ Union.
