 Beauty success for Fashion student 


Congratulations to Shelley Blair, Level Three Fashion and Photographic student at South Eastern Regional College (SERC), who recently beat off stiff competition to win fifth place in the prestigious NI Hairdressing Championships, which were held in the Hilton Hotel.

 
Shelley, who competed for the Paddy McGurgan Cup in the ‘Creative Make-Up’ category, studies at the Colleges’ Bangor Campus.


Commenting on her success Shelley said: “I am over the moon. I owe a lot to my lecturers who have been very helpful and supportive throughout my time with the College. The competition was a great experience and allowed me to express my creative skills. It will stand me in very good stead in what is a very competitive, ever changing industry.


Commenting on Shelley’s success Lindy Duffy Head of School for Hair and Beauty at SERC said: “This is a great achievement for Shelley.  The success reflects her ambition to succeed within the beauty industry. I am really pleased for her.


“Shelley’s excellent make-up application skills reflect the hard work she puts into her studies, and the results show her natural flair and talent for the beauty industry.”
