The Staff Association of South Eastern Regional College (SERC) had the privilege of presenting two cheques of £400 to Cruse Bereavement Care and the Alzheimer’s Society. The money was raised at the College’s annual end-of-year Golf Day, which was held in Bright Castle Golf Club, Downpatrick, and the event, was kindly sponsored by O’Hare & McGovern.
Cruse Bereavement Care exists to enable anyone bereaved by death to understand their grief, cope with their loss and to promote their well-being. Support Volunteers are trained to help people work through their feelings in a professional, safe and supportive environment.
The Alzheimer's Society is a membership organisation, which works to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Many of the 25,000 members of the society have personal experience of dementia, as carers, health professionals or people with dementia themselves.
