Essential Skills staff at South Eastern Regional College's Lisburn Campus invited members of the Chinese Community in Lisburn to come along to the College to learn the benefits of the Essential Skills ICT course.
Essential Skills tutor, Yuk Shan Lui, who will be delivering the course in both Chinese and English, detailed the course, highlighting what is covered at each level and what students can expect to learn. Over forty attendees completed a Training Needs Analysis, which allows a work plan to be devised based on their individual needs.
Alistair Brown, Head of Social, Community and International Development at the College, commented on the event, “We are aware of the breadth of cultures that are coming to the College now, both locally and internationally and so we are very keen to introduce courses like this, which offer a learning opportunity to all members of the community.”
