My name is Alicia Hillier and I am 21 years old.  I first came to the college in September 2000 to study the AVCE Business Studies and Sport and Recreation course.  I enjoyed the two years of the course as staff helped and supported me, and I made a lot of good friends.  Since I enjoyed it so much I progressed on to the HND Business Studies course, as I had an interest in the subject.

I enjoyed the topics that we were studying and felt happy in the college environment were the lecturers helped me achieve my potential.  After Year 1, I was successful in getting a place through the Business Education Initiative to go and study in America were I attended The University of South Carolina.  I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and gained so much from my experience.  I became a more independent, confident, and positive person that has held me in good stead. 

On returning from America I progressed onto the 2nd year of my HND.  I was given support and guidance from all members of staff.  On completing my HND I am hoping to take time off but hope to return to the college to do a BA (Hons) in Business Administration.
