“When I was at Crumlin High School I decided that I wanted to work in a trade as they are generally well paid and gives the opportunity for entrepreneurship in the future.

I went along to Lisburn campus Open Day last year and spoke to lecturers from different departments about the various apprenticeships available – in the end I decided that I liked the idea of being a Plumber best of all.

I am really enjoying the course so far and am employed by Porter and Co from Lisburn which is providing me with great experience.   In the future I hope to own my own business and perhaps study at South Eastern Regional College's Lisburn campus on a part time basis.”
