I first found out about the BTEC National in Construction at Lisburn campus Open Day where I spoke to Construction lecturers who really encouraged me to follow my goal of a career in the Construction Industry.
I am now in the second year of the course and I am thoroughly enjoying it - although it is hard work to meet the deadlines for getting assignments handed in. A huge bonus of the BTEC courses generally is that they are completely assignment based which means NO EXAMS!
In addition to my main course I have also completed an AutoCAD certificate and have the opportunity to take an Architectural Desktop qualification in year 2.
I wish to progress to University to study Quantity Surveying or stay at Southern Eastern Regional College's Lisburn campus and complete the HND in Construction with an aim to achieving my career goal of becoming a Quantity Surveyor
