Colin Oliver has successfully completed the OCN (Open College Network) Certificate in Radio Journalism, gaining knowledge and skills in radio production and journalism at North Down and Ards Institute.

The course allows students to learn about new digital technologies for radio journalism which includes access to a state of the art working radio station and DALET computer technology.

Colin worked as an assistant animator in the West end of London for various companies and has worked on films such as Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Bobs Birthday Party which won an Oscar for animation.

Colin returned to Northern Ireland due to family commitments and wanting to expand his skills in the media industry.  Colin commented, "One of the most useful aspects of the course was gaining skills in the very latest digital technology.  Colin now intends to progress to the next level of the journalism course at North Down and Ards Institute.
