“When at school at Dromore High I had expressed an interest in undertaking a Joinery course.
As I live quite centrally I had the choice of three different colleges to apply to.
I attended all three Open Days – the last of which was Lisburn.
The thing I liked most about Lisburn was the way in which I was treated.
In the other two colleges the lecturers talked more to my Dad than to me but at Lisburn it was different which I liked.
In terms of the course I really enjoy the practical aspects which I get plenty of opportunity to use in my work with John Moffett Joinery. I work on sites most of the time on different types of carpentry and joinery such as Joists and rafters, fitting skirting boards and hanging doors. I really enjoy the work and would recommend it to anyone.”
