“Living in the Castlereagh area of Belfast I had lots of options open to me regarding the College where I could study Motor Vehicle Engineering however it was on the advice of my employer R K Trucks Ltd (Carryduff) that I chose to apply for a course at the Lisburn campus.

I have always enjoyed working with cars so a course in this area was the obvious choice when I left Lagan College.  The NVQ course in Motor Vehicle means that I attend the College two days each week and spend three days a week with my employer learning the trade.  Once I complete the NVQ level 2 I fully intend to undertake the level 3 course and become a fully trained mechanic.”
