Shirley Stokesberry, Office Manager at McGimpsey Removals LTD. successfully completed the Chartered Management Institute Diploma Level 5 recently at SERC. The key areas of this part-time course are Managing People, Managing Information, Managing Activities and Managing Quality.
Shirley stated that this course gave her confidence with what she was already doing and also helped her to bring new ideas into the workplace. She also gained promotion which she felt was directly related to gaining the qualification.
Shirley is now taking the Chartered Management Institute Executive Diploma Level 7, equivalent to a postgraduate course. This course will help Shirley translate organisational strategy into effective operational performance. Shirley hopes that it will have a positive effect on her daily operations whilst giving her opportunities for further promotion in the workplace.
She commented, “One of the most positive aspects of the course was interacting with other people in similar professions, sharing ideas and tailor making these for my role within McGimpsey’s.”
