Enterprise Academy

 

Experience enterprise and entrepreneurship through the SERC Enterprise Academy. Earn credits for every practical, fun, hands-on activity you take part in and gain a Bronze, Silver or Gold Enterprise Award to recognise your achievements.

 
SERC Enterprise Academy aims to:


• Create awareness of enterprise & entrepreneurship
• Encourage innovation
• Support idea generation and creativity
• Support business start-up
• Provide specialist mentoring and incubation
• Sign post students to other external agencies for support


So as well as encouraging you to be innovative and creative, and think about entrepreneurship it looks good on your CV!

Enterprise Team

 

As a SERC student you will have access to a range of services and guidance to help you start up your own business. Every student at SERC is assigned an ‘Enterprise Champion’ to offer advice and support on all things enterprise.

 
So, whether you have an idea for a business you would like help with, or you would just like to get involved in some of the activities, then contact the Enterprise Champion for your School.

Enterprise Centre  

We can help you develop your new business, right from the moment that you have the idea!
SERC Enterprise Centre provides an excellent environment to support pre-start, start-up and existing businesses. From exploration of the idea of becoming self-employed and starting a business, to specific assistance for established businesses seeking to expand.

 

Workspace Units

The incubation suite is situated within the new state-of-the-art Downpatrick Campus. Ideally located adjacent to a range of local amenities including transport and leisure services, the Campus itself offers businesses comfortable accommodation in an environment suitable for development and with access to College facilities and expertise.

 

There are 9 units located within the Enterprise Centre ranging from 121 to 150 sqf. The units are suitable for a small office based business and are available at competitive rates.
SERC has already assisted a range of new business start-ups by providing advice, guidance, training and access to business facilities. If you are looking for pre-start training or information, advice and support, on any aspect relating to your business, you have come to the right place.
