PAYMENT OF FEES
SERC facilitates the payment of all course fees at enrolment. This will mean that, whenever possible, students will not be inconvenienced at a later stage for costs additional to tuition, such as examination, registration, assessment or certification.
Fees are set against the appropriate course title in the part-time prospectus. SERC accepts Maestro and most credit / debit cards. If you wish to pay by cheque, these should be made payable to South Eastern Regional College or SERC. Receipts must be retained and maybe required as evidence.
Payment by Employer or Sponsors
If an Employer or Sponsor is paying for the course we must have a signed letter from them to this effect at the time of enrolment to allow us to invoice the employer/sponsor for payment. Concessions are not applicable and the Employer will be invoiced the full fee.
Instalments
Where the total fee payable (including any concessionary fee or early enrolment discount) is over £150, instalment payments will be accepted as follows: 25% on enrolment followed by 3 equal payments of 25% by direct debit on the following dates:
- 1 November 2011
- 1 December 2011
- 6 January 2012
A direct debit mandate must be completed for the last 3 payments.
Courses for the January/February enrolment period can also be paid by instalment, with 25% on enrolment followed by 3 equal payments of 25% on the following dates: 1 March 2012, 1 April 2012 and 1 May 2012.
Liability to Pay
Students must be aware that they are liable to pay the full cost of their course whether they choose to complete the course or not. Direct debits will continue to be collected by the College even if a student has withdrawn from their course. In the event that fees remain unpaid the College may refer the debt to a Debt Collection Agency.
