We care.

You will have all the help you need with a range of services from our award winning careers advice through to the free counselling service.  You can chat with one of our professional advisors who can help you find the answers you need.

We are the only college in Northern Ireland who goes the extra mile with SERC Extra; a team of dedicated staff who help students overcome problems.  Often these can relate to issues outside of the classroom and your course.  It doesn't matter; we are here to help you achieve your goals.

SERC Extra is a unique service designed to support students who are experiencing financial, social/family issues or learning difficulties.

The SERC Extra team work with students every step of the way to address issues or help to put you in direct contact with careers guidance, counselling or financial/learning support.

Available in all campuses, the SERC Extra team will do their upmost to find a suitable solution to any problems you may experience to make sure your time at the College is as enjoyable and beneficial as it can possibly be.

Most people experience problems or difficulties at some time in their lives which can affect your ability to study successfully. The College provides a qualified and experienced team of counsellors who will listen to your concerns and help you to consider possible courses of action.  Throughout the year, we run series of events to raise awareness of health and welfare issues.

At one time or another we all experience difficulties that can leave us feeling overwhelmed.

Sometimes just talking to friends or family can help but other times it may be better to talk to someone trained to listen who can offer support, guidance and a fresh outlook.

That’s where we come in. We are Carecall.

SERC has selected Carecall as an independent source of support. This service is free to you. Take the first step, lift the phone, and contact Carecall to make an appointment or talk to someone who can help. You can call anytime (24/7, 365 days a year).

For free, confidential and immediate support call 0800 389 5362.
