Matthew, who had previously completed a plumbing and heating apprenticeship in 2004, worked in industry as member of the sales team in a plumbing workshop for two years before deciding to continue his education. He completed the HNC in Construction on a part-time basis, whilst working full-time to develop himself and gain valuable work experience.
Matthew added: “The way the industry is going, I think it is becoming increasingly important to keep one step ahead by developing yourself. The course at South Eastern Regional College has enabled me to expand my role within my workplace, taking on jobs such as troubleshooting, consultancy and working with installation teams. As well as being beneficial to my job the course was enjoyable and the tutors were fantastic, providing valuable support and assistance.”
