Karly joined her course in Children’s Care and Development at the SERC Newtownards Campus, after leaving school in 6th year where she had been studying her A-levels, however was not enjoying what she was studying .
‘I really enjoyed my time at SERC as I had a very good relationship with my tutors especially those that i had over my 2 years and i was able to establish a friendship with them which made it easier if i ever needed help and guidance during my course. The most important thing i feel that really made me enjoy being there would be that the tutors treated you as an adult and gave you your own independence without neglecting us. I met a lot of lovely people on my course and some strong friendships with other girls. It is a shame that my 2 years at SERC are over, it went too fast and i would recommend anyone to go and carry out a course there.’
Now Karly has commenced her studies at Stranmillis University College, Belfast where she is studying Early Childhood Studies.
