OFTEC oil modules 101, 105e & 600a
OFTEC oil burner training course is aimed at installers who want to become OFTEC registered as domestic oil firing system service technicians of pressure jet burners. The course covers the regulations and standards that apply to oil fired pressure jet heating installations and installation practice.
The course is made up of both practical and multiple choice written assessments, you will be required to attend the college two days per week over a two week period. The cost of the course includes training, assessment and the certification fee.
The course will cover OFT10-101, OFT 10-600, OFT10-105E. OFT10-101 Domestic commissioning and servicing of pressure jet appliances, OFT10-600 Domestic and non domestic oil storage and supply installation, OFT10-105E Domestic Oil Firing system Installation and energy conservation measures in Buildings.
Pre-requisites: Category 1: Previous OFTEC qualifications Category 2: NVQ2 or 3 plumbing qualification
Duration: 4 days
Domestic Gas Categories CCN1, CENWAT1, CPA1
This course is targeted at Gas engineers, Plumbers with ACS gas qualifications (Domestic Only) CCN1 is required for any operative wishing to work on domestic gas installations and appliances. CENWAT1 - central heating boilers and water heaters
Pre-requisites: Previous ACS gas qualifications or Domestic Gas MLP DNGA3 certificate.

Domestic Gas Managed Learning Programme (MLP)
The LCL Awards Managed Learning Programme is designed for both new entrant learners into the gas industry and those who claim to have prior experience and knowledge of the Building Engineering Services industry sector.
The Domestic Gas Installer New Entrants Course starts with the basic principles of gas heating and plumbing and pipework skills, leading to further areas such as gas safety. As this is a Managed Learning Programme, all topics are broken down into easy-to-digest sections, with industry recognised qualifications and certificates of competence awarded on completion of the MLP. On completion of the New Entrants course and the APL course, successful students will receive a competence certificate and an industry recognised Managed Learning Programme training certificate from Logic Certification, necessary to access ACS gas training and assessment.
Duration: 1 day a week for 10 weeks
LPG changeover from Natural Gas
LPG Changeover course is for experienced operatives who already hold either Core Domestic Natural Gas Safety (CCN1) or Core Commercial Gas Safety (COCN1) and wish to work on LPG fired appliances in permanent dwellings.
The course includes training and assessment on the following modules: CONGLP1 - LPG Changeover (including Permanent Dwellings)
Pre-requisites: CCN1 and applicable gas appliances certificate
Duration: 1 day
Commercial Gas Changeover
This course is aimed at experienced operatives who hold the Core Domestic Gas Safety (CCN1) qualification and who wish to undertake commercial gas work. The CODNCO1 module is normally undertaken as part of the Commercial Changeover Gas Safety Course.
Pre-requisites: CCN1 and applicable gas appliances certificate
Duration: 5 day
Gas Appliances
This is an additional Gas Installation qualification for qualified gas engineers to be competent on working on gas cookers and gas fires.
Pre-requisites: Must hold CCN1 gas qualification
Duration: 1 day
