How to enrol if you have already applied to SERC
Step 1
Upload your results to your application portal as soon as you receive them. If you don’t have a smartphone, results can be uploaded in designated rooms on Campus. Wi-Fi will be available on site also.
Step 2
SERC staff will be ready to welcome you to campus and guide you.
Once you have uploaded copies of all your results, you will be directed to the qualification checking area. Here a member of staff will check your qualifications.
Please note that for Further Education students, this check will include Maths, English and ICT qualifications. If you do not hold the required level of Maths, English or ICT, you will be enrolled on an Essential Skills course, alongside your main programme of study. This is to ensure that you have every opportunity to attain at least a Level 2 in these core subjects.
Step 3
Once your qualifications have been checked, you will be directed to the area for the course where you wish to enrol. You will be met by our qualified teaching staff who will confirm your enrolment (if grade requirements are met). If, for any reason, you do not gain a place on your chosen course, every effort will be made to offer a place on an alternative course.
In addition, Higher Education applicants must produce proof of ability to pay fees in order to secure a place on their course - ie a Student Finance NI Award letter or a completed Direct Debit Mandate which is available on this link Direct Debit mandate.
You can apply for student funding NOW so that this is in place for August.
Step 4
You will be directed to an area where you will have your photograph taken for your Student ID card
If you have not yet applied for a course on enrolment day, you will be directed to a room where you can make an online application and enter and upload evidence of your qualifications, before being directed to Step 2.
