Course Overview

The mandatory units cover core competencies that have been categorised around the following four key themes:

  • Communication and Information Sharing
  • Health and Wellbeing Principles and Values
  • Continuing Professional Development in Health and Social Care.

The optional units allow learners to choose from a wide variety of areas to tailor the qualification to their needs and interests, and to reflect the context of their work. Enter a short description here.

Ideal If:

This is a practical course and you only need to attend College for 1 day per week.  

You are already employed in the health & social care sector.

The practical element and the group work in College.

You'll Progress:
Successful completion of this course will enable you to apply for full time work in health & social care.  Alternatively, you may progress to higher level courses in health & social care.

You'll Need:

To be employed in a health & social care setting for at least 21 hours per week

To be aged 16-24
