Course Overview

Arduino is an open-source platform used for building electronics projects. Arduino consists of both a physical programmable circuit board (often referred to as a microcontroller) and a piece of software, or IDE (Integrated Development Environment) that runs on your computer, used to write and upload computer code to the physical board.  This course will cover the following topics:

  • Introduction to Arduino hardware
  • Introduction to Arduino sensors and peripherals
  • How to set up Arduino software and outputting code
  • C Programming for Arduino
  • How to build a robotic sensor project using Arduino

Course Modules
This is an introduction course that will the cover the basics of using Arduinos.

Ideal If:
If you are an Engineering/Science student or technology hobbyist and wish to develop projects that require interaction with computer systems based on their physical environment

You'll Learn:

After learning the basics of Arduino hardware and software you will develop a robotic sensor project.

You'll Love:

The project based approach to teaching on this programme.

You will learn theory before putting it in to action to develop a real Arduino system.

You'll Progress:
You may progress on to further study within the college. We have a range of electronics courses on offer.

You'll Need:
This course is for anyone who is interested in learning about Arduino. The course does not require any prior knowledge about Arduino.
