Course Overview

This Brazing course is designed to provide those undertaking the training and assessment with the relevant practical skills and theoretical knowledge to demonstrate competency and compliance with;

  • Pressure Equipment Regulations 1999
  • Pressure Equipment Directive
  • Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000

 

Some of the content covered will include:

  • General Safety & Compliance
  • Refrigeration Pipework Installation
  • Oxy-acetylene equipment
  • Brazing and testing techniques

Course Modules
This course results in the achievement of a Level 2 Award in Brazing Techniques for Refrigeration Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems

Ideal If:
This course is designed for experienced refrigeration systems engineers who need to qualify in brazing techniques and associated regulations. 

You'll Learn:
This course is designed to ensure that personnel are practised in the use of special tools and equipment used to install or repair copper pipework in small commercial and split unit air-conditioning systems, and also covers the requirements of the Environmental Protection Act regarding the construction/repair of refrigeration pipework and the high-pressure implications of new refrigerants.

You'll Love:
The practical hands-on Learning, in our state-of-the-art workshop environment. 

You'll Progress:

 The college offers other short refrigeration courses related to F-Gas, HC Gas, CO2 Systems. 

 

You'll Need:
 To be a refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump system engineers, or regularly working with these systems.
