Course Overview
The UAL (University of Arts London) Awarding Body Level 2 Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology has been developed in response to an identified need for students studying for qualifications in media to have a broad diagnostic experience that provides them with an understanding of the discipline and prepares them for the reality of the sector and progression paths and careers available to them.
This popular media course will provide you with the technical skills in video, audio and photography/print production.
The UAL Level 2 Diploma in Creative Media production and Technology offers a course of study empowering students to work with media products production processes and technologies.
This leads to practical and creative skills that transfer into the workplace. Unit choices cover a range of media including radio, television, film production, print and graphics production and photography. It also provides opportunities to develop skills demanded by employers. Examples of the technologies that the student will learn Adobe Premier, Photoshop, Adobe illustrator, Adobe Audition, Moviemaker, Scriptwriting Celtx, Web design.
These qualifications and units are in the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). They have been structured to enable learners to gain qualifications and build on their achievements.
The UAL Level 2 Diploma in Creative Media production and Technology offers learners the opportunity for a programme of study to:

Unit 6:- Exploring Visual Production and Technology
Unit 7:- Exploring Interactive Media Production and Technology
Unit 8:- Personal Project and Presentation in Creative Media Production.

The hands-on approach to this course and getting experience in using equipment such as zoom microphones, digital SLR cameras, Radio studios etc.
Developing your creativity by making short films.
Working with the college community radio stations such as Bangor FM, Lisburn 98 FM and FM 105.
You'll Progress:
You'll Need:
2 GCSEs Grades D-G and successful outcome at a skills test and interview.
You will be required to complete Essential Skills in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT if you do not have a GCSE grade C or above in these subjects.
This course will be timetabled for 16 hours per week with additional time added for employability training and Essential Skills in English, Maths and ICT if required.
