Level 2 Diploma In Culinary Skills
Course Overview
This qualification is for anyone who works or wants to work as a chef in the Catering or Hospitality sector. It is ideal for learners coming straight from school who wish to seek a career in this industry.
This course will be completed over 15 to 21 hours per week dependent on student's Essential Skills requirement.
You will cover things such as :
Food safety in Catering Prepare, and cook stocks, soups & Sauces
Prepare and cook fruit & vegetables
Prepare and cook meat & offal
Prepare and cook poultry
Prepare and cook fish & shellfish
Prepare and cook rice, pasta, grains and egg dishes
Produce hot and cold desserts and puddings
Produce paste products
Produce biscuit, cake and sponge products
You will be required to complete Essential Skills in Literacy, Numeracy or ICT if you do not have a GCSE grade C in English or Maths or Computing.
