Course Overview
This one year course is equivalent to 2 GCSEs and will give you the basics in music.  

Course Modules
Modules may include: 
  • Planning and creating a music product
  • Working in the music industry
  • Working as a musical ensemble
  • Producing a musical recording
  • Developing music theory
  • Exploring computer systems used by musicians

Ideal If:
You would like to take the first steps towards working in the Live or Recorded Music Industry.

You'll Learn:
How to develop music performance skills - both solo and ensemble, develop music theory knowledge, record and produce your own music, participate in live music performances, working with music notation software

You'll Progress:
Successful completion of this programme will enable you to apply to employment in the music industry, or further study on the Level 3 90 Credit Diploma in Music.

You'll Need:
2 GCSEs at Grade D-G, and successful outcome at audition / interview.
