CCEA GCSE Mathematics Foundation Units M2 & M6.
While you will come to class one evening a week, you will be required to do additional work outside of the classroom. Independent study is an integral part of this course.
Although our GCSE Mathematics programme is mainly targeted at Foundation Tier (C and C*), we do offer additional support to students who enrol on this programme who already have a GCSE Mathematics qualification at grade C but would like to achieve a Higher Tier grade (B to A*). This will however involve additional independent learning through self-study and tutor support, and you will be signposted to various on-line activities/video websites to help you in your revision.
Please apply online.
Please note that although the course is delivered on campus, it may be necessary to deliver some classes online instead of on campus, e.g. in response to illness, college closure, etc.
Admission to this course follows successful interview and assessment.

- Number and Algebra
- Geometry and Measurement
- Handling Data
The course will allow you to:
- develop your knowledge, skills and understanding of mathematical methods and concepts.
- acquire and use problem-solving strategies.
- select and apply mathematical techniques and methods in mathematical, everyday and real-world situations.
- reason mathematically, make deductions and inferences, and draw conclusions; and interpret and communicate mathematical information in a variety of forms.
Prior to enrolment you will undergo an initial assessment. This assessment will determine your suitability for this course. If the assessment indicates that you need to brush-up your numeracy skills, you will be directed to an Essential Skills class.
After you apply online, you will be emailed details of information and assessment sessions, including time, date and room. Once assessments have been marked, tutors will confirm via email if you have been accepted on the course, or if an alternative course is recommended.
When accepted, you can then enrol on the course and pay the fee before attending the first class.
