Course Overview
Information Technology (IT) is at the heart of everyday life, at home, work and in our leisure time. From computer graphics and control systems to communications and problem solving, IT has an ever-increasing role to play.
The programme consists of 7 units including Communicating and Working in IT Industry, Computer Systems, Installing Computer Hardware, Website Development, Developing Computer Games and Customising Software.
The course includes practical activities in all units - learn, do, review - and will help you develop transferable skills for the workplace or future studies. You will be able to express your creative side with units focusing on multimedia components and the power of digital imagery. As a student you will be in class for a minimum of 17.5 hours per week.
You will be required to complete Essential Skills in Literacy and Numeracy if you do not have a GCSE grade C in English or Maths.

3 GCSEs at Grade D or above, preferably with ICT and or Mathematics/English.
Preference will be given to those applicants with GCSE IT or equivalent.
