Course Overview

This qualification is ideal if you are have management responsibilities but no formal training and are serious about developing your abilities. It’s particularly suited to practising team leaders seeking to move up to the next level of management, and managers who need to lead people through organisational change, budget cuts or other pressures.

This course has various start dates though out the year, typically scheduled for one 3.5 hour session per week for 16 weeks.

Course Modules

Typical modules include: 2 or 3 of the following

302: Managing a Team to Achieve Results

307: Developing the Knowledge, Skills & Abilities of Individuals & Teams

316 Monitoring Quality to Improve Outcomes

319: Managing meetings

Ideal If:
Should be working (paid or unpaid capacity) or have recent workplace experience OR be willing to research businesses to respond to assignments requirements for workplace examples.   Ideally in team leader/supervisor role; (Team Leader Supervisor Project Officer Shift Manager/Shift Supervisor Foreperson.) Ideally will have GCSE English/Essential Skills L2 OR be confident with their writing skills as assignments 2000 words of academic style writing, ie full, formal sentences etc.  Support will be given re academic writing/referencing but writing at this level is expected in assignments.
