Ideal If:

You would like to explore and develop a range of ceramic techniques and processes which may aid progression onto an HNC, HND or Degree course or employment in the creative industries.

You'll Learn:

How to research and develop your creative ideas through the experimentation of a range of ceramic materials, techniques and processes. You will also learn how to record and promote your work through photography and digital software and how to exhibit to a professional standard.

You'll Love:

The opportunity to explore and experiment with a broad range of ceramic processes and techniques in a studio ceramics context, including hand building, mould making, casting, throwing and finishing techniques. You will gain knowledge in how to operate and run your own studio, manage and fire kilns and exhibit work both internally and externally.

You'll Need:

BTEC National Diploma in Art and Design, an A level pass at grade C with 4 GCSEs to grade C, or relevant industrial experience.  

At interview you must bring a portfolio of work displaying an ability in art and design, in particular ceramics. Details of this will be confirmed in an email invitation at a later date.  

You will be required to complete Essential Skills in Numeracy, Literacy and ICT if you do not have a C at GCSE level or equivalent grade
