Course Structure
This Level 5 academic course is designed to allow the learner to gain knowledge within the Domestic Retrofitting area of Carbon Reduction, the course will have online delivery and assignments and learners will have support sessions from their tutor.

Contact Hours
This course will be a via an online platform where all students will have access to their learning materials and assessments, tutorials and support from your nominated tutor will be allocated, the learner can study at their own pace.

Entry Requirements
Potential candidates will be aged over 18, they will hold as a minimum a level 3 Qualification and or have work experience in a related field.

How will I be assessed and given feedback?
This course is designed to allow the learner to work at their own pace, timeframe, and space, it will be an online platform with virtual classrooms and tutorial support sessions. Assessment will be via online completion and drop in methods where your allocated lecturer/assessor will then feedback on your learning outcomes. We will offer you three units of learning to complete the L5 Certificate.

Where will it take me?
Academic achievement can lead to progressing to the OCN NI Level 5 Extended Certificate and this could help the learner move onto a degree in a related subject area.

How will it make me more employable?
As we embark on the pathway to Carbon Zero 2025-2050 the interaction with how we build, retrofit and energise our dwellings will be challenged to meet the reduction in carbon emissions into our atmosphere, the Green Economy will replace the current Fossil Fuel economy and trends in both building and energy consumption practices and will be a major factor in future employment.
