Course Overview

Year 1 - Focus will be on Essential Skills Literacy, Numeracy and ICT, Employability, Personal Development and The Duke of Edinburgh/Joint/Gaisce Award.

Year 2/3 - Choose a vocational area from Retail, Hospitality Services, or Construction Studies along with Literacy, Numeracy, ICT, The Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Course Modules

Include a range of Employability and Personal Development units, for example;

  • Keeping Safe
  • Planning for Progression
  • Managing Personal Finance.

Ideal If:
Things did not go as expected at school and you want to get back on track. 

You'll Learn:

Managing Personal Finance

Developing Personal Confidence

Literacy

Numeracy

ICT, plus several more topics.

 

You'll Love:
Getting the opportunity to work towards your Duke of Edinburgh Award/Gaisce/Joint Award.

You'll Progress:

Depending on results you will be able to progress to a Level 2 programme or continue to year 2 on Level 1.

 

You'll Need:
No formal qualifications or have not attained a 'Pass' in Literacy or Mathematics.
