Pearson BTEC HNC in Art and Design (Digital Design)
This full-time 1 year course has an emphasis on learning skills current to the visual arts industry with the aim of increasing your employability and potential progression. We mainly work as a project-based course for students who wish to develop skills in the visual arts. The course is highly practical, but it also demands academic ability. We use Project Based Learning (PBL) approaches which give you industry relevant learning, mimicking industry style briefs and projects.
This will help prepare you for employment in the creative arts industries. The outcomes on this course are developed with the student groups in mind and are tailored to meet the interests and requirements of each group, your work will be largely driven by your own focus and interests and pitching these to meet the briefs. You will study a wide range of digital and production skills on the course which will include digital drawing, software use, photography, contextual studies, and animation.
This will all be delivered by an experienced team of lecturers who have worked in the industry and are current practitioners in their areas. You will benefit from time with staff & technician support who can help you discover your path into your chosen industry and will be supported with access to industry standard equipment and softwares.

This exciting and dynamic full-time 1 year course has an emphasis on learning and developing skills current to the creative and visual arts industry with the aim of increasing your employability and progression opportunities.
The programme is fine art based and is suitable for students progressing from Foundation diploma or A levels or more mature students who are looking to retrain within the creative and visual arts
The Arts Practice course will allow students from a variety of disciplines a place to experiment and create using skills and knowledge learnt to discover and develop your individual abilities and strengths within a creative practice.
The course is highly practical, but it also demands academic ability. We use Project Based Learning (PBL) approaches which give you industry relevant experiential learning. This course will prepare you for either application for progression to HND/degree study or for employment within the broad spectrum of the visual arts field.
