Louise Macartney, one of our Library Assistants based at SERC’s Bangor Campus, has some of her paintings and drawings on display at Park Life in Ward Park from now through to 27 October. Pop in for a coffee if you’re in the area, and take a look.
The show aims to highlight the vital work of two nature conservation groups, The Northern Ireland Badger Group and The North Down Red Squirrel and Pine Marten Group. Louise is selling nature-themed greetings cards, and will donate 20% of all sales of those, and any paintings sold, to each charity. She’s also going to run a couple of free popup drawing events for kids to raise awareness of these groups. Follow her Instagram account @portraits_ni for more details.
