South Eastern Regional College is celebrating the success of students across the college from Level 3 programmes, including:
SERC’s Downpatrick Campus students, main picture (back l – r) Colm McEvoy (20, Ardglass) enjoyed success on the Level 3 Foundation Diploma in University Studies (Access), he achieved a Pass and is progressing to a BSc in Biological Sciences at Queen’s University Belfast; Joshua McCann (18, Carryduff) achieved Treble Distinction Two Stars (D*D* D) in the Level 3 Applied Science and is heading to Ulster University to do a BSc in Bio Medicine at Ulster University. (Front l – r) Scarlett Pauly (19, Downpatrick) achieved Distinction Star (D*) in the Level 3 Technical Diploma in Art and Design and is progressing to the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design and Media Practice with SERC; and Emily Gargan (18, Newcastle) achieved an A in the Level 3 Extended Diploma for Children's Care, Learning and Development and it progressing to a BA in Early Years at Stranmillis University College.
Newcastle Campus (l-r) Adult returners Theresa Poskitt (28, Newcastle) is progressing to the BSc in Midwifery and Mary Lunn (31, Newcastle) is progressing to the BSc in Adult Nursing, both at Queen’s University Belfast. Both achieved a Pass on the Level 3 Access Diploma in Foundation Studies.
At Bangor Campus (l-r) Oran Toland (20, Belfast) achieved Treble Distinction Stars (D*D*D*) in the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production and plans to progress to at BA in Screen Production at Ulster University; and Daria Ziomek, (18, Bangor), who achieved Treble Distinction Stars (D*D*D*) in the Level 3 National Extended Diploma in IT and is returning to SERC for the Foundation Degree in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics (Validated by The Open University).
Lisburn Campus students (l – r) Sam Moffitt (18, Belfast), achieved Treble Distinction Two Stars (D*D*D) in the Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Sport and is progressing to Ulster University to study Sport; Kenzie Pickering (20, Lisburn), achieved Double Distinction Stars (D*D*) in the Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Sport and is progressing to employment as a Personal Trainer; Hannah McKibbin (18, Carryduff), achieved Treble Distinction One Star (D*DD) in the Level 3 National Extended Diploma Engineering - Advanced Manufacturing and is progressing to a Higher Level Apprenticeship in Engineering at SERC with employer Datum Design; and Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Animal Management students, Teri Woods (19, Portadown) achieved Treble Distinction One Star (D*DD) and Caitlyn Dougan (18, Killylea, County Armagh) achieved Treble Distinction One Star (D*DD), both are progressing to the HNC in Animal Management at SERC.
And at Newtownards Campus, Amy Nesbitt (19, Bangor), achieved Treble Distinction One Star (D*DD) on the Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care at SERC’s Newtownards Campus and is progressing to the BSc in in Nursing at Queen’s University Belfast.
