“While studying at SERC, I applied for a role as a classroom assistant in a local primary school and have been working in this position for almost two years. As part of my job, I support a P2 student with autism, help implement education and care plans, reinforce student learning, assist with behavioural strategies, and contribute to creating a safe and inclusive environment. After completing my ESOL course, my tutor encouraged me to enrol on the Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning course at SERC, which I successfully completed in May.
