Why Study This Course

This course will provide students with the skills to perform Lymphatic drainage massage – to include consultation and contra-indications, selecting suitable massage mediums for the client’s skin type, classical lymphatic drainage movements and adapting the treatment to the client’s specific needs.

Additionally, learners will develop a range of skills, techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in employment as a massage therapist.

Course Overview

The course will be one evening per week for 16 weeks.

Students will be required to compile a portfolio of evidence – Case studies (9 treatments – 3 clients x 3 treatments) - this will be completed both in college and at home.

Applicants must hold a Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Massage or Level 3 Diploma in Body Treatments or equivalent, or level 3 Diploma in beauty related qualification.

Course module: Lymphatic drainage massage.

Assessment criteria:

  • External practical examination
  • External theory examination
  • Portfolio of evidence containing -case studies.

Progression to level 3 Reflexology or Aromatherapy massage.
