This leisure course is ideal for anyone wanting to develop basic building brick/block skills to use around the home. You will also have the freedom to work on your own project.
Course Overview

This is a practical hands-on class and students will be required to wear safety footwear and gloves when in the workshop.

The course will be delivered in Newtownards campus and will run for 16 weeks, 3hrs per week.

    There are no formal entry requirements.

    Some examples of topics covered:
    • Basic design
    • Basic installation
    • Creation of Garden Walls
    • Creation of Fireplaces
    • Creation of Pillars
    • Creation of Arches
    • Damp proofing

    This course may allow you to progress onto a Level 1 in Trowel Occupations.
