This course provides the essential knowledge required for operatives who intend to supervise tasks and personnel on construction sites and projects, supporting progression into roles with greater responsibility for safety and workplace compliance.
This qualification has been designed to cover the criteria, policies and mandatory health and safety required to ensure safe working practices and compliance within the construction sector. GQA Q‑Cards are part of a CSCS Alliance, meeting the Construction Leadership Council standards.
Minimum requirements are:
- GQA Level 3 or GQA Level 4 Construction NVQ
This qualification enables learners to demonstrate their understanding of safe working practices in line with the core principles of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. It develops the knowledge required to assess general construction roles, recognise key responsibilities, and apply essential site supervision and safety practices. Assessment for this module is completed online.
