  • Carpentry & Joinery
  • Plumbing
  • Wall & Floor Tiling
  • Plastering
  • Electrical

Please note there are no formal entry requirements for this Level 1 course.

You do not need any experience or prior knowledge to undertake this course.

  • Introduction to health and safety in construction
  • Constructing halving joints
  • Constructing housing joints
  • Tiling a plain wall
  • Constructing half brick walling
  • Preparing background surfaces and applying render coats
  • Introduction to the construction industry
  • Removing and refitting water-filled radiators
  • Connecting flex to common apparatus
  • Constructing cavity walls in brickwork and block work

Students who complete the course can progress to Level 2 Apprenticeship or Traineeship courses in specific construction trades.
