The OCN NI Level 2 Award in Social Media is ideal if you want to develop a deeper understanding of how social media supports business growth. This course builds on an existing knowledge of social media and is aimed at those who already know how to post content, schedule posts and make updates to a business profile. This qualification builds on those foundations and takes your social media skills to the next level.
You will learn how to identify and understand your target audience, create audience personas and analyse competitors online. The course also explores key online and social media risks, content marketing, and how to examine social media insights. With a strong practical focus, learners will take part in hands-on activities and discuss real-world examples.
Being online presents significant opportunities for businesses to increase visibility, engage customers, and drive growth. This 8-week course focuses on developing a more strategic approach to social media.
As part of the assessment, learners will deliver a short 15-minute presentation exploring the positives and negatives of social media, ways to minimise risk, and an analysis of five social media post examples.
By the end of the course, learners will have the confidence, skills, and insight to create tailored social media content and contribute to effective online campaigns.
