This course will provide you with essential knowledge to support you in your role in education/training such as understanding key roles and responsibilities and how to ensure inclusive approaches specific to your subject area. You will also have the opportunity to practice your skills by delivering a 'micro teach'.

This course will be delivered on-line. The Micro teach assessment component of the course will take place on campus for one session.

Course Overview

This 3 unit qualification is suitable as a knowledge based introduction to teaching/training.

Modules include:

Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training
Understanding the principles and practices of assessment

You will need to hold a Level 3 qualification in your subject area or appropriate experience within your field.

On successful completion you may wish to consider progressing to higher education.
